Welcome to the Competitor Centre. This gives Competitors direct access to the necessary information for the skill they are competing in.

Competitors in a WorldSkills Competition need the Competition Rules, the Technical Description for their skill, the Infrastructure List, the Health & Safety documentation and the Test Project (if it is to be circulated prior to the Competition). This information is provided once logged in.

Information about the upcoming competition in Japan can be obtained direct from the Competition Web Site: www.skillsfestival2007.or.jp

oc1.jpgOn Wednesday, November 14th, the 39th WorldSkills Competition (WSC) and 7th International Abilympics (IA) kicked off with a bang at Granship in Shizuoka City . The event was a combination of cultural exchange and national pride for the numerous teams marching in.

Overwhelming welcome for the Dutch Team at Kanaoka Elementary School Print
oneschool1.jpgJust before the start of the WorldSkills Competition, Monday 12th November, Kanaoka Elementary School welcomed the Dutch Team members at their School. This welcome is part of the program “One School One Country” offered by Numazu City. Also the school will visit the WorldSkills Competition site to support the Team.

Competitor Village activities Print

CV_0.jpgThe City of Numazu and Shizuoka Prefecture are planning a day of activities for the Competitors in the Competitor Main Village after the competition is all over. On Tuesday, November 20, they are presenting the “Welcome Festival” to the Competitors at the Toki-no-sumika Leisure Complex in Gotemba Village from 10:30am-4:00pm. The Festival is targeted towards Competitors, event staff, local residents and students participating in the One School One Country program. The purpose of the Festival is to provide opportunities for networking between the Competitors, learning about the local residents, and experiencing Japanese culture.
